Karanja Waweru Okello

Self-taught ceramics artist

  • Dodoma Art Collective
  • 1989 to 2000

I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 1989 at Dodoma Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I also teach a weekly class at Dodoma Art Collective, which keeps me honest. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
