Special education and agriculture teacher, Colombo
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Technical College
- Since 1989

I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 37 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Kanchana
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Kanchana: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me special education in 1993 at Colombo Technical College. I still remember the quiz night we nearly won
