Kamini K. Buthelezi
Sitar and jazz teacher
- 🇿🇦 Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa
- Sandton Our Lady of Peace Band
- 2001 to 2011
- English, Afrikaans
I play sitar and jazz. I started in 2001 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 6 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Kamini: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.

I still have the recording from that night at Sandton Our Lady of Peace Band.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
