I taught chemistry and social studies at Redwood Middle School, Kakamega. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Kamau
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
