Kalyani G. Swamy
Master of carpentry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- The Atlas Works
- 2005 to 2013
- English
My trade is carpentry. I opened my own shop in 2005 in Mumbai and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
More about Kalyani
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Kalyani: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
