Kalyani E. Pillai

Self-taught oil painting artist

  • 🇮🇳 Jalandhar, Punjab, India
  • The Jalandhar Pottery
  • 1987 to 2011
  • English
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes sculpture. My first show was in 1987 at The Jalandhar Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I try to remember everyone's name. My studio is always a bit of a mess. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Kalyani: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
