Kai Rong Yao

First-generation students mentor, San Jose

  • 🇺🇸 San Jose, California, United States
  • San Jose Youth Network
  • Since 1983
  • English, Mandarin
I'm a mentor in first-generation students. I've spent my career as an accountant and now give some of that back. Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.

More about Kai

Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
