Kagiso R. Tshabalala
Spanish teacher at George Academy, 2003 to 2016

For 13 years I was the Spanish teacher at George Academy. I taught Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Kagiso
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Kagiso: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me Spanish in 2012 at George Academy. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on. Truly.

I was in your Grade 4 class in 2009. You believed I could do it before I did. Greetings from São Paulo.
