Jyoti H. Kapoor
Tabla player and teacher in Mumbai
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Mumbai Quartet
- Since 1991
- English, Hindi
I play tabla and singing. I started in 1991 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 8 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Jyoti
I write my first song when I was 16. It was terrible and I still love it.
