I've spent 45 years as a lecturer in literature at Parkside University in Duisburg. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a bank clerk and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Jürgen
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
