Helping people break into first-generation students
- 🇯🇵 Kobe, Hyogo, Japan
- 1994 to 2016
- Japanese
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,230 people through Kobe Association.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
I'm still learning every day.

You helped me get my first first-generation students job in 2003. I still have your notes. Greetings from Gwangju.
