Jumoke Hauwa Balogun
Art and special education teacher, Ikeja
- 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
- Ikeja Public School
- 2002 to 2014
- English, Igbo
For twelve years I was the art teacher at Ikeja Public School. I taught primary school children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Jumoke
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Jumoke: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me art in 2017 at Ikeja Public School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam
