Juliet Ronke Popoola
Self-taught oil painting artist
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- Kano Gallery
- 1982 to 2008
- English, Hausa
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes embroidery. My first show was in 1982 at Kano Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I walk the dog by the river.
