I've worked in masonry from 1998 to 2020. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 530 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Julián
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Julián: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
