Julián A. Ruiz
Master of tiling, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇽 Iztapalapa, Ciudad de México, Mexico
- Old Iztapalapa Repairs
- Since 1996
- Spanish
My trade is tiling. I opened my own shop in 1996 in Iztapalapa and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
More about Julián
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Julián: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
