Julián A. Gutiérrez
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- Fairview Works
- Since 1987
- English, Spanish
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 1987 in San Diego and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Julián: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
