Julia T. Holmes
Coached boxing for nine years in Orlando
- 🇺🇸 Orlando, Florida, United States
- Orlando Youth Club
- 1992 to 2001
- English
For nine years I ran the boxing program at Orlando Youth Club in Orlando. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Julia
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Julia: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
