Blacksmithing, done properly
- 🇬🇧 Leeds, England, United Kingdom
- Eastgate Works
- Since 2002
- English
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2002. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,320 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 19 years later for another job.
More about Julia
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Julia: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
