Joyce Naliaka Okello

Tennis and fitness coach, Dar es Salaam

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Dar es Salaam Sports Club
  • 2011 to 2020
  • English, Swahili
For nine years I ran the tennis program at Dar es Salaam Sports Club in Dar es Salaam. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Joyce

If you played for me, you probably remember the long bus ride home.

What gifts mean to Joyce: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
