I've been a nurse for 47 years, most of them in surgery at Mombasa Community Hospital in Mombasa. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I garden badly but happily.
I'm still learning every day.
