Joyce Alvarez
Teacher at Brookfield Secondary School, loves French
- 🇬🇧 Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom
- Brookfield Secondary School
- 1996 to 2025
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 29 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Joyce
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Joyce: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me French in 2021 at Brookfield Secondary School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard
