Joy Saif Parvez
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Khulna, Khulna, Bangladesh
- Since 1995
- English, Bengali
I've worked in painting and decorating since 1995. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,330 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.

What gifts mean to Joy: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
