I've been a nurse for 43 years, most of them in mental health at Zaria Maternity Hospital in Zaria. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I garden badly but happily.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
