Josiah T. Brooks
Pottery, done properly
- 🇺🇸 San Jose, California, United States
- Old Lotus Shop
- Since 1987
- English
I've worked in pottery since 1987. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,790 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Josiah
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Josiah: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
