Josefa A. Santos
Coached table tennis for eight years in Bakersfield
- 🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States
- Beacon Boxing Gym
- Since 2018
- English
For eight years I've run the table tennis program at Beacon Boxing Gym in Bakersfield. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Josefa
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Josefa: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
