Jose P. Legaspi
Mentor in engineering and writing
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Oakland Mentoring Circle
- Since 2009
- English
For 17 years I've mentored people in engineering and writing. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I'm learning the guitar.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Jose
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Jose: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
