Jose M. Singleton

Local weaving and thatching

My trade is weaving. I opened my own shop in 2000 in Arlington and I'm still there most mornings. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Jose

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Jose: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
