I've coached cricket at Ribeirão Preto Cedar Grove Youth Club since 2016. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
What gifts mean to José: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
