I've spent 31 years as a lecturer in modern history at Campinas Polytechnic in Campinas. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a bank clerk and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about José
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to José: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
