I coached rugby at Manchester Youth Club from 2011 to 2022. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Jose: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
