Jorge K. Cabrera
Traditional drumming player and teacher in Bogotá
- 🇨🇴 Bogotá, Bogotá D.C., Colombia
- Bogotá Quartet
- 1988 to 2010
- Spanish
I play traditional drumming and tabla. I started in 1988 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 8 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Jorge: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
