Welding, done properly
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Little Oakland Trades Guild
- 1979 to 2005
- English, French
I've worked in welding from 1979 to 2005. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,560 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Jonathan: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
