John Simiyu Kato
Physical education and geography teacher, Kinondoni
- 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Kinondoni Middle School
- Since 1979
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 47 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
More about John
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

You taught me physical education in 1988 at Kinondoni Middle School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Thank you again.
