John Schmidt
Brass band player and teacher in Houston
- 🇺🇸 Houston, Texas, United States
- Houston Quartet
- 2012 to 2025
- English
I've played brass band from 2012 to 2025, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 14 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about John
I wrote my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
