I taught home economics at Hope Girls' School in Manila from 1997 to 2022. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I ran the debate team after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I'm always reading two books at once.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
