John Kamau Kigozi

Shoemaking, done properly

  • 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
  • Little Brookfield Shop
  • Since 1978
  • English
My trade is shoemaking. I opened my own shop in 1978 in Kampala and I'm still there most mornings. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to John: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
