John John Juma
Painter, potter and teacher at Northside Art Collective

I'm a ceramics artist based in Kisumu. I've been making things from 1986 to 2007 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
Most of my work is inspired by markets and street scenes. I make terrible puns.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about John
I've had 10 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to John: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
