I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 1999 at Southampton Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the sea. I'm learning the guitar.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to John: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
