I teach special education at Fairview Secondary School in Johannesburg since 1978. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,730 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Johan: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
