Joaquín D. Navarro
First-generation students mentor, Cali
- 🇨🇴 Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia
- Cali Mentoring Circle
- 1999 to 2009
- Spanish, English
For ten years I've mentored people in first-generation students and software. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I garden badly but happily.
More about Joaquín
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Joaquín: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
