Jimena R. Cortés
Volunteer mentor with San Diego Learning Hub
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- San Diego Learning Hub
- 2013 to 2025
- English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 520 people through San Diego Learning Hub.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
More about Jimena
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
What gifts mean to Jimena: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.

You helped me get my first teaching job in 2021. I still have your notes. Greetings from Kathmandu.
