Jide Nnamdi Ogunbanjo
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Wudil, Kano, Nigeria
- Maple Ridge Workshop
- 1992 to 2018
- English
My trade is blacksmithing. I opened my own shop in 1992 in Wudil and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 15 years later for another job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Jide: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
