Jide Emeka Bello
34 years teaching environmental science in Onitsha
- 🇳🇬 Onitsha, Anambra, Nigeria
- Meadowbank Public School
- Since 1999
- English, Yoruba
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 27 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 780 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Jide
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
Subjects taught
What gifts mean to Jide: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me environmental science in 2017 at Meadowbank Public School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand
