Jide Bello Anyanwu
Self-taught oil painting artist
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- The Kano Gallery
- Since 2007
- English, Hausa, Spanish
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes digital art. My first show was in 2007 at The Kano Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by faces I pass in the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
