Jian Chen
Tabla player and teacher in Fresno
- 🇺🇸 Fresno, California, United States
- Fresno Music School
- Since 1982
- English, Mandarin
I've played tabla since 1982, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 9 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Jian
I write my first song when I was 18. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Jian: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
