I've spent 36 years as a lecturer in public health at Eastgate State University in Gwangju. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I run most mornings.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ji-yeon
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Ji-yeon: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
