Jewel Sabbir Hossain

Children's librarian in Savar

  • 🇧🇩 Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh
  • Phoenix Reading Room
  • 2007 to 2025
  • English, Bengali
For 18 years I looked after the shelves, the card catalog and the regulars at Phoenix Reading Room. I ran the Saturday reading group and the summer reading challenge. I bake for the whole street at New Year. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Jewel: A gift would go toward books for the children's corner.
