I taught French at Holy Cross Secondary School in Durban from 1980 to 2005. Most days I taught first-year students, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 550 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

You taught me French in 1995 at Holy Cross Secondary School. I still remember the quiz night we nearly won.
