I taught mathematics at São Paulo Middle School in São Paulo from 1986 to 2023. Most days I taught first-year students, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Jéssica
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
