Jéssica Amanda Gomes
Materials science lecturer, 2016 to 2025
- 🇧🇷 Brasília, Distrito Federal, Brazil
- Brasília State University
- 2016 to 2025
- Portuguese, English
I spent nine years as a lecturer in materials science at Brasília State University in Brasília. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Jéssica
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.

What gifts mean to Jéssica: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
